Erica Jong‘s first novel, Fear of Flying, was a departure into self-determination for many women in 1973. For many men it was a taboo break. New was the writer‘s open approach to her own sexuality, to her needs, longings and frustrations.

She was celebrated as a „female Henry Miller“. The film paints a portrait of a successful woman who is still active and not afraid to speak plainly.
